About Our CSA

What is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?

Traditionally, a CSA consists of a community of individuals (members) who pledge support to a farm operation. The farm and the members share in both the benefits and risks of food production. Typically, members pledge in advance to cover a portion of the anticipated costs of the farm operation. In return, they receive a portion of the farm's bounty throughout the growing season, as well as the satisfaction gained from participating in local food production and directly supporting their local farmers.

About Our Farm Stand CSA

Over the past four years we have worked towards offering our members more choice and flexibility while simultaneously reducing food waste and increasing our farm’s efficiency and sustainability. In 2018 we officially ditched the typical “box/predetermined weekly items” CSA model and updated to our Farm Stand CSA model. Our Farm Stand CSA allows members to purchase farm stand credit in advance** that can be used at any of our farm stand locations at any time, on as many or as few items as desired! The farm stand credit can be used on EVERYTHING that we sell at our farm stands: vegetables, fruit, herbs, mushrooms, flowers, coffee, eggs, and many new items yet to come (red raspberries!!!). For 2019 we will be adding and extending our farm stand days and hours of operation to better suit the needs of our members. Our Farm Stand CSA will continue to provide our members with flexibility, convenience, savings, and choice of items which will in turn reduce food waste and provide an overall logistically streamlined and efficient CSA. **Returning members must add credit to their Farm Stand CSA Cards and new members must sign-up for their Farm Stand CSA Cards by March 1st, 2019 to receive the added bonus credit.**

How does the Farm Stand CSA work for Returning and New Members?

1)     Decide on the amount of farm stand credit you would like to purchase from the list below. The farm stand credit purchased plus the added bonus, will be loaded onto a plastic card (similar to a gift card). Returning members’ credit will be added onto their existing Farm Stand CSA Cards within 24 hours of us receiving their payment and can be used immediately. (We do not physically need your card number as we have record of each member’s assigned card number). New members will be able to pick up their Farm Stand CSA Cards after April 1st, 2019 at the farm stand location of their choice (selected at sign-up).
